    Notes With the pan drying up and functioning as part of the Usuthu river, it was intended to count the pan by walking along the shoreline. However, with the flooding of the Usuthu river, Banzi pan has again filled, but not sufficiently to flood the reedbeds on the shore and yet too much to allow for walking along the shoreline. The results were thus poor.
