    Notes The vlei was very full after extraordinarily heavy rains earlier in the week so that the water extended into the surrounding scrub in some areas making identification occasionally difficult, particularly as the observation point is on the west side and the scrubby area is on the eastern shore!. Not a major issue, but relevant to note.
