    Notes Pan overflowing. Weather good. Managed to drive around most of the pan stopping at intervals to put up the tripod and scope. Breeding records: Coot: 1 adult + 2 young (c.1/4 adult size), 1 adult + 2 young (<1 week old), 2 adults settled on nests, probably incubating; Blacksmith Plovers: pair + 2 young (c.3/4 adult size). The Red-Crested Pochard was an adult male, in the company of c.10 Southern Pochards.
