    Notes Cloudy and hot - windy at times. Count done with scope mounted on a tripod, from the kopje near the homestead, and from the ridge to the west of it. Closer sections of the shore examined closely had no smaller birds, so I did not walk to the upper reaches to check for these there. Egyptian Goose brood: 2 adults with 7 young (class IIb).
