    Notes Dam quite full. Calm for c. first hour, quite rough for rest of count. Heronry on eucalypt covered island towards western end of dam: the 681 Cattle Egrets were mostly fledglings moving about the colony, and also large young on at least 35 nests. 14 Darters were adults and fledglings; 7 Reed Cormorants present, but no nests identified; 5 Sacred Ibises just seemed to be scavenging below colony. Heronry in indigenous trees on rocky island mid-way along S shore (now joined to the shore): 54 Cattle Egrets and 52 Sacred Ibises were adults and fledglings, with no chicks on any of the nests; however, they probably bred there. Red-billed Teal breeding: 2 adults with 6 young (class IIc), 2 ad + 1y (Ic). Blacksmith Plover: Adult incubating 2 eggs on an island in the upper reaches.
