    Notes Most of count done, as always, with scope on tripod on bridge and road running across dam. A windy day. Possibly as many as 13 pairs of Red-knobbed Coot, with 6 adults settled on nests, and 2 with 4 young (c.1 week old), 1 with 3 young (c. 2 weeks), 1 with 4 young (c. 1 week), 1 with 2 young (c. 1 week), 3 young c. three-quarter-grown in a group of adults, 2 adulst with 4 young (c. one-third-grown) and another adult with 2 young (c. one-third-grown).
