    Notes Overcast, cool, windy. No suitable boat available in Department, so count done from northern shore from vehicle, stopping at vantage points to scan with scope on tripod. After recent rains, visibility good and it was possible to cover the southern shore effectively, though some smaller birds could have been missed. Sections of the shore had emergent Polygonum lapathifolium, in which some coot and ducks could have been missed. A section of the shore at the W end not visible. (The upper reaches of the dam, usually done as a seperate count, were not accessible.)
