    Notes Sunny and clear with fresh SE wind. The mouth of Zandvlei was open. Not much activity or fly over by birds at this time. The count time for this time of the year is possibly too late. The sun has been up for 3 hours. The general note that the numbers and species are possibly low and could be dispersed over the western Cape due to the many waterbodies with plenty of water in them, after record annual rainfall in 2013 and high rainfall in January 2014.
