    Notes The area we covered was along the shoreline, and two large marshes ajacent to the shoreline. All birds floating close to the shoreline ( e.g. Gulls, Cape Cormorants ) were also counted. A flock of an estimated 100 waders were innitially counted as Curlews. Later, after some discussion about this identification, these birds were counted as Whimbrels.
