    Notes There were a lot of fishing boats which had pulled up onto the mud-bank at one area in the estuary, which caused the waders to be absent from that area. Also a strong north-easterly wind may have affected the count later in the day. The 5 Cape Gannets sighted were diving out to sea, so not in the estuary. The White-breasted Cormorant was a juvenile.
