    Notes The area of count has been widened slightly to include the wetland west of Soetendals and part of the river that feeds into vlei. This has allowed for a much greater number of birds to be seen. The area is also still very wet which has allowed the birds to move to other less disturbed areas as the vlei has a large amount of farming and assosiacted human activity around it.
