    Notes One pair of African Black Oystercatchers has been frequenting the eastern part of the estuary sand-bank on the Strand Beach side, and we have noted that one is sitting in the scrape. This has been seen both during the past couple of counts and when walking on the beach at other times. The sitting bird has been seen several times over the past week The site is just below the dune covered in grass/restios, and close to some old bits of tree trunk. No ring so far noted.
