    Notes Extensive mudflats in northern half of pan, from springs. Water in the small dam on the northern edge, and in the ditches fed by springs on the W side. The telephone wires which caused the deaths of several flamingoes here some years ago, and which were then fitted with crude flappers (which eventually all bunched together), have now been removed. Egyptian Goose: 2 adults + 2 young (class IIb). Marsh Owls flushed out of sedges on the northern side.
