    Notes Undercount of birds in the reeds. Vlei 1: full; Vlei 2: 70% full; Vlei 3: 25% full; Vlei 4: empty. Some rain filled pans a little at end of June. Herd of cattle & goats & 2 shepherds may have disturbed some birds. Fire in reeds of one vlei in about April (reeds half re-grown).
