    Notes Weather conditions were perfect. There must have been significant rain in the preceding weeks. The vegetation was very tall so the majority of birds were counted in flight. There was water at the bottom of the steps to Stemmers Hide and the path to both Dabchick and Crake Hides was ankle deep. We saw 1 Yellow-billed Egret carrying nesting material (code 3). All the code 4s were in juvenile plumage and independent of adults. Photographs to follow.
