    Notes Serious sand scouring of the wave-cut platform rocks (aeolian sandstone). Enormous amounts of weed have disappeared and much of the Mytilus beds have also gone. This could well have an effect on next seasons breeding of Black Oystercatcher. There might also be a negative effect on the palearctic migrants next season.
