    Notes Dam full - little bare shore for waders. Quite rough, to rough, most of the time, and overcast. Heronry was in stand of Acacia karroo trees growing along shore in upper reaches, on farm Kanneboskroon 2352; was examined only from the boat, so several nests could have been missed: Cattle Egret 616 occupied nests, some with young, ranging from small to well-grown; Little Egret 1 ad at a nest with 2 well-grown young; Yellow-billed Egret 2 adults in heronry; Black-headed Heron 1 nest with 2 well-grown young; Grey Heron 1 adult in heronry; Sacred Ibis 7 nests with small young; Reed Cormorant 76 occupied nests, some with well-grown young; Darter 1 nest with 3 well-grown young.
