    Notes Goedertrouw Dam was at 85.40% capacity. Cool overcast conditions and calm water to start, warming up by mid morning, 65% cloud cover with hot sunny conditions and a light breeze. Due to higher summer water levels, the waters edge is well vegetated, upper catchment areas are choked with the submersion of Sesbania punicea which is dying back, making birding difficult along the waters edge. Lantana camara and Sesbania punicea are the dominant invasive alien plants along the waters edge within this river system.
