    Notes Clear, quite windy. Pan seemed to be full (apparently from a burst water pipe), extending beyond the reeds at the N and S ends; these areas were checked first, from a vehicle, and the rest of the pan subsequently, from the high ground (old municipal rubbish dump) along the W side, on foot. The far shore was checked with a spotting scope.
