Notes Dam quite full. Main dam done by boat (08h50-15h40), but the level was too low to enable access to the pan at the northern end, which was later censused from a bakkie (16h30-17h25). A clear day, calm at first, but windy and quite rough from c.11h00. There was a small heronry on an "island" (now a peninsula with a recent drop in the water level) at the S end of the large bay W of the office. The Sacred Ibis, Cattle Egret and Reed Cormorant chicks (see individual species) were all well-feathered and probably near-flying. (There were 46 adult Reed Cormorants, 12 Cattle Egrets, 1 Grey Heron, 11 Sacred Ibises also present.)
