Notes This was a delayed winter count. It could not be carried out during the normal period because the boat was unavailable, having been washed out to sea during floods in July! The start of the count was delayed until after low tide because we had to wait for a vehicle to arrive before the pont across the river would operate. More Palaearctic species were present than anticipated, perhaps due to the late date of the count.
