    Notes The lake is in a state of change. Much of the water has been present only since the heavy rains of the latter part of December 2010. The Mkhuze River is flowing strongly. Salinity concentrations have reduced drastically in the preceding month. Much of the lake would not have had much time to accommodate these changes yet.
