    Notes Pan quite full and the water surface therefore mostly above "bossies" growing in the pan. Most of count done from W side with scope on tripod; smaller birds on E side could have been missed. Clear, hot, still. Breeding records: Red-knobbed Coot - 97 nests with an adult settled on it, possibly incubating, and also several more being built, or old ones; also 28 chicks scattered over the pan, ranging from very small to well-grown. Egyptian Goose - adult with 6 young (class IIa). The one Greater Flamingo (adult) had a broken wing.
