    Notes Dam quite full, with water still present in the northern pan section; latter wasn't accessible to the boat and was covered later from a bakkie. Clear and very hot; calm at start, rough from c.11h00-11h30. Small terns difficult to separate, and I decided that c.10% of them were Whiskered. Heronry in four bushes on island SE of nature reserve: Reed Cormorants - c.25 nests, but contents not visible; Darter - 4 nests with well-grown young; Grey Heron - 1 adult on nest - contents not visible; Black-headed Heron - 2 nests, each with 2 well-grown young; Little Egret - 2 nests, 1 with 2 young (c.1/2-grown) and other with contents not visible. Other breeding records: Egyptian Goose - 2 adults+14 young (class llc), 2ad+6y(llc), 1ad+10y(lc), 2ad+8y(lc), 2+5y(lla), 2+6y(lb); Yellow-billed Duck - 1ad+6y(la), 1ad+4y(lb).
