    Notes The grass was long and lush, so the counting conditions were difficult. Most of the birds were counted flying or slushed. The evening fly-by yielded low numbers. There was very little open water. The 2 Red-billed Teals and 2 Little Grebes were found on the small dam as we turned right out of the main reserve towards Vogelfontein. There were no waders as the conditions did not suit them.
