Notes It is hunting season and the farmer had been out hunting with clients that morning. They were shooting warthog on the edge of the dam. The Cape Shovellers and Yellowbill ducks were very skittish and about 50 plus flew off when we arrived. Several returned. We have finally managed to get a key to the dam from the farmer so we can now do winter and summer counts. We made a special trip to meet the farmer.
