Notes The sky was clear and sunny with a brisk SE wind, which has been blowing for weeks. There were very few birds in the air or to be seen in the waterways of the Keysers and Westlake Rivers and also in the blind canals. There was no water flow to be measured inder the railway bridge, the mouth of the estuary was closed. Even in the sheltered areas of the reed beds there were no birds to be seen, we waited more than the usual time to find additional birds.
