    Notes "The preceding day it rained gently with not much wind. Today it was partly cloudy, clearing to sunny with a slight breeze from the SE. There were very few birds invisible in the air for a reason, which was difficult to understand. The barometric pressure was fine and forecasts suggested another good weather day for tomorrow 20th January. There were very few birds on the main waterbody or flying about. We were hoping the other counters were doing better than we were. The pleasant surprise was the 4 Sandwich Terns at the Royal Road bridge area and we found the wagtails there too. We also saw the Cape Cormorants leaving Zandvlei flying above the water and making their way out to sea again."
