    Notes Large shallow dam. Falls within the revised Blesbokspruit Important Bird Area. First counted in winter 2014. Counting conducted from western shoreline which is accessed through the Umbila Dam fishing area. Rest of surrounding land mainly used for maize cultivation. Also a large electrical substation and some residential and light industrial use. Overhead powerlines are a hazard. 5 dead Greater Flamingos reported to EWT in winter 2014. Coal mining occurs in the broader landscape and may be a threat in future.
