    Notes Sabaki's hydrology changes significantly every year. On the north bank, the large inlet of what used to be very sloppy, deep (1+m) mud 8-9 years ago is now filled in with wind blown sand and provides little if any foraging habitats for waders. Other areas of mud have developed on the southern bank and all of these areas are used as roost sites for gulls and terns. The 35000 unidentified terns were counted at night.
