    Notes Most extensively flooded area yet seen. Inflow area broadly flooded into surrounding grassland and almost as far as the gravel road upstream. Large number of Black-headed Herons attracted by a fire within the catchment area (most counted in flight). Wetland area below dam wall not included in the count had 98 additional African Sacred Ibis and 14 Glossy Ibis.
