Notes The selection of the date due to tides was hopeless! NEAP tides, the water in the river moved only half a meter from high to low and no mud banks were exposed. Historically, this was always done on an ebb tide after high. The last 4 years or so tides have been high. Added to this all the gates into the saltpans were locked, not allowing access. Hence low percentage of coverage.
