    Notes Access to all the Pans in this Sector has been denied to the Public. The entry roads have been closed with wire gates and so are inacessible. This is due to a Hippo being resident in the Pans (S 2) for some months and is considered a potential danger to all. We were able to do a partial count by driving along the road adjacent to S3 and the end of S2 and then a great view of M1. Water was flowing into M1 and there was an appreciable bird population in view. Unfortunately all the inner pans were not countable.
