    Notes The vleis behind the dunes are quite overgrown with reeds with only a few open patches of water. As he river and river mouth is quite narrow, low tide is a good moment to count all water birds present on the mudflats. 30 Unknown birds were terns flying out to sea and we were unable to identify them.
