    Notes Kersefontein was counted over two days: 27/27 and 29/7 (15:00-18:00), owing to the difficulty of navigating the site when wet (and having only one observer available to count). 27/7 the conditions were ideal; on 29/7, it was windy -conditions were moderate. Pans had water, and there was some flooding from the river, but the whole floodplain was not inundated.
