    Notes There is a growing informal recycling/reclamation/mining community living and working on this site despite the recent fencing initiative. Historical dumping of garden refuse and both historical dumping and current inflow of plastic and other waste is a threat. The reedbed burned prior to the count improving visibility of open water. Piles of waste were still smouldering creating localised clouds of foul smelling smoke.
