    Notes Most of the wetland is overgrown with reeds or covered with water hyacinth. The count zone is restricted to the eastern shore between Welgedacht Road and the high berm about 700m south of the education centre. Beyond this point is considered unsafe due to the presence of illegal miners. Very little open water remains.
