    Notes It was a productive count, with four teams consisting of at least two people each. Each team included at least one experienced birder. The morning started overcast but cleared quickly. Overgrown vegetation along the water’s edge made counting more challenging, as birds were frequently flushed and there were safety concerns due to hippos and crocodiles. Despite these difficulties, the count was completed as thoroughly as possible.
