    Notes Moderate breeze. Lake margins still flooded after very heavy January rains - little shoreline available for waders. Hippo presence prevented access to densely vegetated channel and pool at southern tip - likely a number of species and individuals missed in that section. Single Palm-nut Vulture observed. Count conducted from stand-up paddleboard as part of Kosi Bay Honorary Officer activities.
