| Brief_description |
| Robberg Marine Protected Area is situated approximately 5 kilometres from the town of Plettenberg Bay. The MPA adjoins the Robberg Nature Reserve which are both managed by CapeNature. The coastline of the MPA is approximately 11.05 km around Robberg Peninsula extending 1.85 km along Robberg Beach and 1 nautical sea mile out into the Indian Ocean. The count area only includes the area from the waters edge (spring low tide) to the high water mark, therefore the count is conducted on foot only The MPA contains rocky platforms, sandy beaches, subtidal rocky reefs and subtidal sandy benthos. |
